FAQ

This page is designed to address any and all questions that people may have about Photographing A Cure. General terms and logistics will be filled in over time with specifics. It is a constant work in progress, so please check it regularly.

THE BASICS

WHO

The Photographing A Cure project was started by Cayne Zimmerman, of Cayne Zimmerman Photography. Cayne is a wedding and lifestyle photographer with a passion for telling stories through the use of photography. He is a Christian, Husband, Father, and friend. He believes that we all have a purpose in life. While wedding photography is his vocation, Photographing A Cure is his purpose.

WHAT

The Photographing A Cure project has one purpose. It’s purpose is to provide hope and encouragement to individuals who are dealing with terminal illness. As a non-profit endeavor we provide awareness and raise funding for non-profit organizations. The Photographing A Cure project serves as an outreach, not as a replacement, for these organizations.

HOW

Through the use of photo essays, multimedia presentations, and self-hosted charity events, the goal of Photographing A Cure is to show that life goes on even in the face of adversity and in the wake of loss. Annually, Photographing A Cure will release a print publication of photo essays that have been assembled over the course of the year. Proceeds raised from this publication will be donated to charity. Semi-annually, Photographing A Cure will host  events to raise funds for the project and various charities. Monthly we will feature a multimedia presentation on the website featuring a storing of hope and encouragement.

WHERE

Although Photographing A Cure was started in Maryland, there are no geographic boundaries. Stories come from all over the country and all over the world. Don’t let your current location prevent you from telling your story or from telling a story that inspires you.

WHEN

The time for Photographing A Cure is now. We are actively seeking out people who are willing to share their stories. We are also looking for volunteers to help support the efforts of Photographing A Cure with their time and talent. We are in need of photographers, videographers, writers, musicians and event planners.

Clara Casey - Cayne,

I absolutely love what you are doing. What an awesome idea. Photography is my new hobby that I am learning and I have been doing scrapbooking for years. I want to help. We can talk next time we work together.

Clara
